Maple Granola

Everyone needs a delicious maple pecan granola recipe. I make this for my dad every Christmas, because he loves this flavor. You can munch on it as a snack, add milk and eat like cereal, top yogurt or oatmeal.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups rolled oats

  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup

  • 1/3 cup butter, melted (or olive oil)

  • 1 cup pecans, walnuts, or other nut of choice

  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Optional add-ins: dried cranberries, raisins, chopped dates

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 275 degrees F. Cover a baking pan with parchment paper.

  • Combine all ingredients in a large bowl

  • Stir well to distribute the oil and maple syrup evenly through the oats and nuts

  • Pour the mixture onto your baking pan, and spread it out into an even layer

  • Place into the oven for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes

  • Remove from the oven. Allow the granola to cool completely, then store in air-tight glass jars.
